trillian - why use anything else? even has built in jabber plugin as of version 3 (just enable it from plugins in preferences).

and process explorer which has suddenly got even more powerful. wondering what tcp connnections an application is making? choose ‘properties’ from the context menu of a running process and marvel at the details.

Cycling has to be the best way to see the Irish countryside.

Coming from the UK you soon miss the network of footpaths that exist there - in Ireland there are virtually none.

But if you like cycling then you’re in for a treat. The network of thousands of tiny carless roads makes for perfect cycling. The last few weeks have been spent exploring the roads around Skibbereen - it’s easily possible to cycle for an hour without meeting a car! Bliss.
