Cycling has to be the best way to see the Irish countryside.
Coming from the UK you soon miss the network of footpaths that exist there - in Ireland there are virtually none.
But if you like cycling then you’re in for a treat. The network of thousands of tiny carless roads makes for perfect cycling. The last few weeks have been spent exploring the roads around Skibbereen - it’s easily possible to cycle for an hour without meeting a car! Bliss.
