thanks to mike h for alerting me to the BlairDitch Project. their slogan is “Do Labour a favour - vote Blair out”.
“The difference between tyranny and democracy is not that bad things donât happen in a democracy, but that the people who did them can be held to account.”
Tony Blair MP
“In 2003, Tony Blair lied to the world about WMD, ignored the protests of the British people and committed our troops to George Bushâs illegal war on Iraq. Because of his actions, tens of thousands of people have been cruelly killed, and injured… We will ensure that everyone knows it is their public duty to remove this war-criminal from office.” (from the above site.)
if you know anyone in the sedgefield constituency - let them know! or if you live in the uk - go and camp in sedgefield and help out the campaign.
ever wanted to make one of these cool little fellas?

well now you can at the brilliant button maker site.
i’ve been busy making a couple of websites the last few evenings…
Growing Awareness - every town should have one (if you’re in West Cork - come on a walk or a workshop they’re great - i’ll see you there).
and
Fuelling the Future - a conference on Peak Oil that Rob has initiated - some great speakers.
‘i’m with wolfowitz’ writes george monbiot this week. and having read his article i agree with him.
thank you once again george for brilliantly demolishing the consensus. read what he has to say
UPDATED: my brother pointed out that although the title is meant to be antagonistic / ironic - it is rather dangerous to suggest (even in jest) that someone such as wolfowitz could actually be any good for the world. george’s assumption that the extreme nature of wolfowitz might hasten the demise of the world bank, thus saving lives / dignity in the long run, is a dangerous extrapolation into an unkown future. fair point mike - i agree.
for going bang! Schnews reports that:
“Two teenagers were arrested for threatening behaviour when the Queen visited Wakefield last week. The pair burst balloons as the royals arrived in the city. Apparently the Queen was unaware of the incident - and even if she was, as she’s regularly in the countryside shooting small defenceless animals with high powered shotguns, SchNEWS is sure a couple of popping balloons wouldn’t frighten her…”
there are some other great “stories” in Schnews today…
