permacultured

after a long summer break i’m back in front of the computer screen… so, over the next few days i’ll post photos and stories of what happened over the last couple of months.

the first wonderful thing to take me away from the computer was a two week permaculture course in june at [ragmans lane farm ](http://www.ragmans.co.uk/ “ragmans lane farm”) with patrick whitefield (author of the essential [earthcare manual](http://www.walnutbooks.com/product_reviews_info.php/products_id/595/reviews_id/58 “review of the earthcare manual on walnutbooks”). i’ve been meaning to complete a pdc (permaculture design course) for about 5 years now. the time was finally right as i now have a template to apply the learning to. so it was with great anticipation that i set off on the ferry to swansea with paul and pete who were also travelling from ireland.

we were not dissapointed – patrick gave a fantastic course, ably assisted by cathy, josh and matt (and of course not forgetting the wonderful anna in the kitchen). there are [78 photos on flickr](http://www.flickr.com/photos/minktoast/sets/671270/ “my photos of the course at ragmans”) which anyone who was on the course will find much more interesting than anyone who was not! i can’t do justice to the importance of a permaculture design course in a blog. you’ll need to talk to me. i’ll just say that it was a wonderful two weeks, made all the more wonderful by the stunning setting in the forest of dean and the fantastic group of people. thanks everyone for being so lovely! we must meet again…

my favorite photo is the self-timer group photo on which everyone looks almost as good as they really were… the thumbnail below is linked to the full (1.4mb) photo – so if you want to download it and print it just click away…
