i like all sorts of music so it pains me a little to say that i have a favourite band. but i do and they’ve just released what i think is their best album. marvellous stuff.
so the us are calling on the burmese government to stop violently suppressing demonstrations… this as we know is astonishingly hypocritical… here’s an example of why:

just back from holiday in the uk. had a great time visiting family in norfolk and then at the big green gathering which was wonderful as always. rob has a great post about the pirate ship. as a lover of beer and cider, and a supporter of the climate camp a highlight for me was the last chance saloon (excellent photos on the link). last year i avoided the bar til sunday. this year i made sure i went there every lunchtime

there are loads of new photos up on my picasa space. mainly of interest to family and friends - but also to tree lovers as there are several of the first Growing Awareness farm walks of the year. West Cork is certainly a great place to live.

We had a great holiday in Scotland visiting Ruth’s mum. It was proper frosty!

It was great to be reminded what a cold winter is like - as here in south west Ireland it’s unbelievably mild!
I would like some suggestions on how I can help make this kind of thing (and all the other horrible things humans do behind lies and deceit) STOP.
Thanks to Schnews for pointing out how to find out how rich you are compared to the rest of world’s population. I’ve been going on about this for ages - and now you can calculate it (well roughly anyway)!
