The Universe is BIG!
Follow this link and prepare to be utterly amazed. The 250mb jpg is incredible – over 20,000 galaxies can be seen but the image only covers 4/100,000 of the sky!

Rain on the way to Bantry bay
Five minutes after I took this, the rain cloud on the left of the picture let go of a large amount of water, just as I collected the kids from Bantry cinema. We got wet!

Greenhoe in the snow
I’ve been inspired by earthdreamer’s winter tree blips. We live in a beautiful place but there is a dearth of mature trees.
By coincidence, on the day earthdreamer arrived in Ireland R & I arrived in the UK to visit family. This is the garden at Mum and Dad’s and they have some great trees nearby! It’s wonderfully crisp and snowy here; couldn’t be more different to West Cork.
